Okay I may be an idiot but I can not figure out for the life of me what DH means. I gather it is a term used for husband but the "D" has me thrown for a loop. I'm thinking it's a term used in the Northern states as a short way of saying dumba@@ husband but that's about all I can come up with :D

Close? Or waaay out in left field??

DH = Dear Husband
DW = Dear Wife

DE = Diatomaceous Earth :p (Sorry, couldn't resist)

I could be wrong though. ;)

OK, so then what is BH?? This was used in reference to a person...

Best I could come up with was B*st*rd Hubby :eek: but maybe just a typo...

Yes, Dr.Spike is right.

Here are some internet lingo sites for abbreviations:

Well, depending on the circumstances, Scott could be right with his interpretation of DH...... : )

haha thanks. Well now when I see it I understand the "D" and depending on the context of the post I will make the judgement call on the "D" :D

Thanks for the explanations.

I like this post!
FYI, FYI around here does not mean what you think it means......
So what's it mean when people say PH?
I thought DH was Drunk Husband - seeing that that was my saving grace when building the thing........:)

No, you are right...DE is Diatomaceous Earth (Sorry, I couldn't resist either! :rolleyes: ).

"The Saint" is another way of referring to MY wife (from someone who had met me AND her...:cool: )

My DH (dear husband) says his friends don't use DW for dear wife, they use THE boss :)

Thought I would share - it gave me a good laugh :p
