I wanted to thank you all for your great advice. I have an in-ground, 30,000 gunite pool I inherited with a new house. Last year we tried using Baquacil. You know the drill - we didn't like it. This year we converted back to chlorine, following the advice of the pool store. Since opening the pool, I was plagued with problems. The water would be clear until I added Chlorine, then it turned green or cloudy. It wouldn't hold chlorine. I found your website on Friday, immediately bought Bleach and started dumping it in. All I had were strips (I've ordered Ben's kit) so I kept adding to keep the Chlorine at 10 ppm (max on my strip). I had a clean pool by Monday and today is absolutely crystal clear.
Thanks for saving me 100's of dollars in useless chemicals, lost swim days, and endless frustration!
