My pool filter has been running great all year. I came home today to the GFCI outlet that the filter is attached to was tripped. I reset it and it tripped again. I unplugged everything, and it still trips. Do I need to replace my outlet?? I have no idea what is going on!! Please help!

I have seen this happen at work many times.
Chances are that the outlet needs to be replaced.
This doesn't by any means mean that it just may be doing it's job. Be sure to check all wiring first. Make sure every thing is tight, no wires touching,e.t.c.
Every thing is dry. Hope this helps. When in doub't ask an electrician.
Since you unplugged everything and it still doesn't hold, I'm betting on replacement, but that doesn't mean something isn't amiss underground.

You say you unplugged everything. Are there any wires attached to the load side of the GFI receptacle? If so, I'd pull them off to see if the outlet still trips. It probably will, which will confirm that the receptacle is bad.

GFCI's do go bad, however, continual tripping can mean a ground fault exists, therefore, I would open it up, disconnect the load side lines as suggested above, if it still trips, it's dead, if it doesn't, there's a wiring problem load side that will need addressing....
Anyone done any digging (even minor) nearby, all it takes is some slight spade damage.
