After reading about how everyone with a chlorine salt based generators loves the feel of the water and how easy it is on the eyes, I want that too. Could I just add some salt to my manual BBB pool and get the benefits of soft water and silky hair and like opening my eyes under water like the salt water chlorine generator pool owners have.

Would the salt hurt anything. What say you?

Thanks,
Aranon

Already discussed in great detail here (http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?t=3355).

Yes, read through some of the other threads about adding salt to non salt water chlorinator pools. I believe there are some threads in this area as well as the salt water chlorinator area.

I checked the other threads like you said and I am going to Home Depot tomorrow morning to get some salt and dump some in.

Thanks for the info. I always appreciate the help. I am amazed that if I have a question it always seems to have been asked and answered several times by someone else.

I'm not completely sure how that makes me feel? Does it mean I'm pretty much like everyone else or does it mean I'm slow and the last to get it?

I will have to ponder this while I'm floating in the pool,.... with an adult beverage of course.

Thanks again,
Aranon

It just means you have the same questions everyone else does....enjoy your pool....and the beverage! :)

Yes, that's why forums can be such a great source of information.
