Bought Intex 12'x36" pool. Heard that pumps dont work so well. Can anyone give me advice on buying a larger pump to work with this pool (1800 Gal), and how I should treat the pool going forward. Use duckie with Chlorine and chemicals, or use home solutions. Please advise this newbie.
Thanks

Can't advise you on the pump and filter, but they do have problems recovering from water problems. My advice is to use bleach for your chlorine source, and run the filter whenever you aren't in the pool. The filter doesn't have great circulation, so you will have a hard time maintaining a chlorine level with tablets, and if you put any powdered shock etc. in you will have a hard time filtering out the cloudiness. Be very careful about adding anything to the pool because you don't have the luxury of a big filter to clean it up.
