I recently bought a house with a pool. I had the water tested and the hardness was through the roof. I drained the pool and started refilling this morning. It has a salt chlorine generatior. 23000 gallons. Inground shotcrete pool, Pebble tec.

How should I start up? What should I add to the water and when? Chlorine? Bleach? Turn off salt system till stabalized?

Anything you can tell me would be great.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi, Andy,

I suggest starting by reading every sticky in the Pool Water and Chlorine forums....particulary this beginners guide http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php?t=1113

Go to the man.'s website of your SWG and use their start up procedures.

Post back with questions.

Andy,

You need to go and read the Chlorine Feeder, Salt Generator Forum. PatL34 has been around a long time here at the forum and always has good information. Click on the link below to find out more from his lessons learned post.
