So I cleaned my pool the other day and I think some of the debris went through to the pump for the last two days my motor has been making a noise I have attached these two videos.

Steps taken:
+ Try to clean the impeller with a wet dry vac

Note that the noises coming from the motor side and not from the impeller side

Sorry.

I've never heard a pump make a noise like that. It does sound like something is striking something else.

How does the sound change when you turn the pump off? Can you localize it better then?

Regarding fouled impellers, my experience has been that, if I couldn't reach through the port behind the basket, and drag the debris out with my fingers, that the pump had to be disassembled to clean it.

Good luck!

First of all thank you PoolDoc.

For someone in the future with the same issue:
I was able to figure it out, basically dissembled the rear ventilation fan (approx 6 screws) and voila dried old leaf was stuck to one of the fan blades. Heres the pic.

Amazing!

That's a heck of a sturdy leaf!
