Curious how many people have deck jets? And if so if they are lighted or not. Anyone had the plain ones and wished they would have gotten the LED from the beginning?

No idea.

You could post on several forums, and possibly get a better idea.

But . . . over the past few years, I've had more contact locally with residential pools, than with the large commercial pools I worked with during my career. And I learned some stuff:
The more 'features' a pool has, the more problems it has. Locally 95+% of pools over $100,000 have SERIOUS problems.
Continuous aeration will screw up your water chemistry
Electrical connections under pool decks almost always fail within a few years

So . . . all 'features' should be severable. That is, you should be able to EASILY turn them off or disconnect them without interrupting pool function. And it should be EASY to operate any aeration mechanism (jets, fountains, waterfalls, etc) ONLY when the pool is in use.

Good luck!
