Hayward X-stream filter making noises

Anyone have one of the Hayward X-stream cartridge filters? Mine is brand new and it's making noise. It makes this squekay grunting noise because I think I'm getting blow by at the cartridge seal and lid.

So, how can I make sure the cartridge itself seals?
