I just want to double check that Im doing this right.

FC: 3
CC: 0
CYA: 35
Alk: 140
PH: 7.5

Here are my numbers. I was using Trichlor tabs in an inline feeder to establish a CYA level. The feeder is empty, from here I just add the required dosage of bleach and borax (seperately of course) to keep my numbers in check. With my CYA reading I should keep my FC 3-5ppm.

Just for info when doing the CC test should the color get lighter or darker?
Thanks for all the help
John

Numbers look very good.

I'm not sure which CC test you mean. If it's the FAS-DPD test (from Ben's kit), you add the reagent to the clear solution (clear because you've already tested you FC and the solution is now clear). The reagent will turn the solution pink or red if there is any CC--it may be VERY vague. You then add the second reagent until it's clear. I put it on something white if I'm not sure if there's any tinge. If one drop then doesn't change it, CC is 0. If it goes clear and that tinge disappears, CC is between 0 and .5

Sorry, Im using a Taylor kit. For teh chlorine test I add 5 drops of solution 1 then 5 drops of solution 2. Then for the CC test add 5 drops of solution 3 and check for an immediate color change.
Thanks

If there is any CC the color will get darker when you add reagent 3. If it stays the same you have no CC
