Relacing liner - Inground water leaking in thru 2 cracks

I'm trying to replace the liner on my pool but there is inground water flowing in the deep end thru a couple of cracks and collecting about 2 gallons every 5 min. How do I stop the water from coming in. I just need enough time to replace the liner and start adding the water. I'm hoping that once there is enough water inside the pool it will stop the inground water from coming in. Any ideas????
