So first year with a pool. I have been out a town for a week and have been able to clean all the leaves out as they feel. I got things back on track but now hit with freezing weather. I have one last set of leaves to clean out of the vacume leaf catcher as well as some by the filter by the pump. My problem is I cannot shut the pump off due to the freeze protection keeping my system running. Also the air bleeder valve is frozen at the moment.
I have wrapped a towel around the ABV. But still cannot clean out the filter by the pump due to the system still running. I can hear the pump running louder than normal and the psi has crept up to 30 psi. It's supposed to warm up a touch over the next few days or so sorry I expect to be able to clean it like I should..
I am guessing the system will be okay until I can pay the attention it needs? I live in Dallas so freezing does not stay very long... Thoughts??
