With Phos Free. Someone told me not to use those BS IntheSwim pool winterizing chemicals as the pool when open gets dirty.. which is true My pool has ALWAYS been dirty when I open it each year using any of those $49-64 winterizing kit even with the Pool Winterizing Ball which guarantees clean pool. So far all were BS. Will pool Magic do the trick??? I have a 22k inground vinyl pool.

The chemistry issues are addressed here: http://www.poolforum.com/pf2/showthread.php/5720-Closing-an-AG-pool-for-the-winter

Personally, I bring my pool to shock level, wait 24 hours, add polyquat, wait 24-48 hours, bring my FC back up to shock level, and then close.

Ditto. I haven't even been covering my pool lately. I will watch the pool and if it is getting murky I'll pore in a bottle of bleach and it clears up.
