Thanks to some of the comments posted on this forum, I was able to clean up a particularly nasty algae infestation that resisted my best efforts for six months. Biggest help to me:

*Use a decent test kit rather than strips or the cheap kits available at the big-box retailers. (I got the Taylor K-2006.)
