I was vacuuming pool and noticed my suction began to diminish. I shutoff pump(1 and 1/2 horsepower Pentair Sta-Rite efficiency pump) and cleaned out filter basket and cartridge filters. I primed the pump and turned it on. The pump did not turn on and I heard a low humming buzz emitting from the pump. I immediately turned off the pump. Any ideas why this might have happened or solutions? Pump only has 8500 hours of usage.
