The pump on our unground pool now lose prime when shut down. No signs of leaks when running. New seal on skimmer basket. Once I prime and get going it now starts to blow a little sand into pool. If I immediately stop, backwash and rinse filter, then return to filter mode, it stops blowing sand. Any ideas what could be the cause of this? Would a crack in a lateral allow sand in and results in prime loss? Or a valve problem on filter?
