I have (what might be) a strange issue

First of all, great forum with loads if info. Helped me out a lot being a first time pool owner. I was making a pool heater running a series of pipes through a charcoal grill and somehow it seems as if charcoal made it's way into the pipes from the joints and into the pool. The water is very cloudy and green. How can I remove the charcoal from the pool? The pump and filter have been running for over 24 hrs and it isn't much better.

I have a 14'x42" round Summer Waves above ground pool. The pump/filter system is a Polygroup SFX1500.
pH was 7.8
Free and total chlorine were both very high at over 5ppm
Total alkalinity was 140
CYA was 100

There is charcoal residue on the inside of the return hose from the heater to the pool so I am not going to run water through it anymore.
