We have an old inground pool. It's 16 x 32 with a vinyl liner. Until a month ago, we had a DE filter but it needed a part replacing so our pool guy found us a three year old cartridge filter that doesn't take so long to dismantle.
I am hoping I can get good advice here. We were lucky to get advice from my daughter in law's dad who knew about pools and his advice was "don't get advice from the pool companies about chemicals. They will sell you stuff that you don't need and that is expensive as well". I found this forum when I was checking what Balance Pak 300 is. I discovered a post by an expert saying you don't need this with a vinyl pool. At least I think that's what it said, but I have to go back and double check.
