Yellow algae

Pool ignored for 3 weeks, 0 FC. Lots of yellow algae on the walls and bottom. put 1 gal liquid CH and 1 cup Cal hypo 2 days ago. doesn't look much better. Someone told me a couple gal of CH and a gal of amonia. Never heard of amonia, comments?
