I read that using a technique called "pooling" can help adjust total alkalinity more effectively than the equal distribution of product (muriatic acid in my case) , which tends to alter PH. Pooling is where the acid is poured in a low current flow area in the deep end of the pool. Is this true? Does the pooling of muriatic acid damage my vinyl liner? Thanks!
