I have a fiberglass pool that is 4 years old and have been dealing with a white film all over the entire finish of the pool. I have contacted the pool manufacturer and they too are searching to determine if it is failing gel coat or a substance such as calcium phosphate plating to the surface. The white film is only on the pool surface and not on the tile. When the water is drained off the top step, the entire surface is white. I have seen several posts dating back to 2014 and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with removing it.
