I purchased a house last summer with a gunite pool that was put installed in 1979 but nothing has been done to it since. It holds water bot tools bad. I got estimates for resurfacing but they were $5000 to $10000. We can't afford that. I am looking at painting the pool to buy me some time to save up the money to resurface the pool. I can paint it my self but I don't want to try to acid wash the pool myself and can't find anyone that will do it for me. My question if I use a good pressure washer that can do higher pressure then I would need would this be enough to prep the pool for paint? Also is there some thing that I can have done that might be better then painting but not as costly as resurfacing the pool. I know paint is not a long term fix but I can do it for less the $1000 doing most of the work myself.
