I finally closed on my first house friday. We have an inground concrete pool its an 18x37. I.did the pool calculator and it said right around 30,000 gallons. I used my taylor 2006 kit today and the numbers I got were TC=0, ph=8.0+, TA=120ppm, CH=100, CYA=0 and I concluded from what I could I have a saturation index of about 2. Im just wondering what is the best procedure to get my pool going. Should I do bleach to get the chlorine first or can I do the bleach in the same day with muratic acid to bring down ph at the same time and etc etc for CH and CYA. Thanks in advance for any help. Apparently the house was foreclosed on and no one has done anything to the pool in months. The water is clear and I can see to the bottom.
