We have been attempting to get our pool ready to use. We have vacuumed the bottom and got all large debris that we can tell. The water is green and cloudy. We are running pump 24/7 and backwash everyday.
Test results using Taylor K-2006
Alk 220
Ph 8.0
FC 3.0
CC. 5.0
CYA. 30

any help please. My wife is getting upset about it.

cc is too high... you need to slam the pool...

Alk needs to come down too or PH will bounve...

How many gallons in your pool?

Is it round?

As for daily backwashing, are you doing so because your pressure is high?

To the OP type in "SLAM - Shock Level And Maintain" in your browser... Try that..

I see not difference if I post the link or post this..

We can help with advise and quantities when we know your pool volume.

Thanks for the advice. I have been Slamming it. I now have white cloudy water. I was backwashing to clean out the filter and not continue to have algae existing in the filter . We have had alot of rain. I am going to retest and will post the results. Thank you everyone for your help.

If your FC is at shock level, (15) your pH test needs to be done differently. Here's a link that tells you how:
