Funny CYA

Hi all, I have a question about cya appearance. I've always seen it as granular, like cal-hypo granuals, however in the past month I've found a lot of powder in the buckets, what gives? Is the powder still cya, or have we recieivd some bad sh**? This has happened with 'stabilizer' from 2 different companies - one of which I've 'talked' about in the "China Shop". Can I trust that I've added enough? The powder looks like someone put clumps of de in the bucket, rather than the cya. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it cya or do I have to go back and add the real cya?

easy way to tell. put a tiny pince of it in some water in your CYA test mixing bottle to the water fill line and give it some time to dissolve a little. Add the cya reagent and shake. If it turns milky it's CYA.
(Be sure to clean the bottle out VERY WELL afterward so non of the CYA powder remains)
