We opened our pool about week ago our number that I'm concerned with is chlorine its 9. So I tested the ph with distilled water. Ph is 7.4. Cya 80. Alk was 110. I'm using the Taylor kit. My question is should I worry about high chlorine? It's too cold anyway to go in the pool but still worried. Do I need to do something to decrease chlorine or will it happen natural once it gets hot and we begin to use it? Please advise

Hi! With a CYA of 80, your FC is just fine. Perfect for swimming as long as your water is clear! ...and it warms up... What is your CC?
Your ideal FC range is around 6-10, never letting it drop below 5. Here is a link to Ben's chart for recommended CYA/FC ranges: http://www.poolsolutions.com/gd/best-guess-swimming-pool-chlorine-chart.html
