I'm installing a 15 x 24 used pool.

I've poored my cement sidewalk "support" yesterday as per the manuf. instruction. I will remove the forms tonight and prepare to install the liner.

The installation instructions are unclear as to when do I install the bottom drain cover and punch a hole in the liner. They way I read it I should wait until there is around a foot of water in the pool before installing and cutting the liner. Anybody did it like that? Anybody with a different way of doing it.

Tx

Hi, when I am prepping the drain I put all of the screws into the holes. I leave them there until just before intalling the liner. This make putting the screw in the second time, when you are working in the water, much easier. It also keeps all of the dirt and sand out of the holes.

Cutting the whole for the drain is the last thing I do. Usually with about six inches of water in the pool. Carefully locate and punch two starter screw holes for the outer ring. Use these holes as a guide for getting your first two screws in. The rest will line up automaticaly. Tighten the outer ring and then cut the center hole.

Best of luck, Dennis

Tx Dennis,

I must admit that that pool is not very diy installer friendly. But I was not involve in the purchasing portion. My lovely wife just came home withe the news.

If it can stop raining I should have the liner installed next weekend.
