18x36 26K gal inground vinyl. 1HP Hayward pump and Hayward S200 sand filter. Used the guides to get things started but need help making sure I'm still on the right path. My father had a pool and passed away last month, he always used a local shop that charged him $1500 for the 4 month season to maintain the pool and selling the expensive chems. After reading the site I felt I could handle it. When I pulled off the cover the bottom was green an the water was a little cloudy. Bought the K-2006 test kit. PH was 7.6, CYA was 30, FC and CC were basically 0. TA 80, Calc 140. I vacuumed most of the green out to waste since pool was 4" high. There was some chems left from last year. Box of burn out 73 and a few 3"silk tabs. I put in 3 bags of the burnout73. The green is gone today but still cloudy. FC is 0.5 and CC is 2.0. PH dropped to 7.3. backwashing every 8 hours.. What next? Thanks for the help. Planning on going with BBB method.
