slime

Will algacide kill slime? I have an above ground pool, approximately 3500 gallons. I have the chlorine and ph where they are supposed to be. I have scrubbed the walls but not the bottom. The water is still too cold for me to get in there.
Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.
