I have an AG 12X18 5 ft. pool. I've added 1lb of PH Increaser this morning. I've read about using Borax instead. I bought the Borax this evening for future usage. Is the dosage the same to keep the normal PH levels? eg. Should I continue to use approx. 1lb of the borax ???

There is not a set dose for Borax because it depends on other things such as your alk level. In a small volume pool, I'd probably only add a couple of cups at a time. Then, after it circulates awhile, retest and redose if needed. Better to adjust slowly rather than too fast and overshoot your target.

To expand on Watermom's post:

The three things that affect how much Borax to use are:

pH
Pool Volume
Total Alkalinity (TA)

TA's job is to PREVENT pH movement so it doesn't bounce around. If your TA is high, you'll need more borax.

But how much? You'll have to figure that out. Each pool is different.
