Hi everyone. Been lurking here for quite some time. I have a 14667 gallon AGP that I filled for the first time about 5 days ago. I started out by adding cya calculated to 35ppm and enough liq chlorine to bring to 5ppm. Can't test cya yet as I only have the kokido 5-way regeant kit(waiting for my k-2006 to arrive). I am testing all parameters I can once a day until everything is in check. After adding the cya here's the results I got: pH 7.2, cl 5, ta 170. So as to not reduce my ph any further, I aimed my jet upward to aerate and bring up my pH. The next day, my pH shot up to 8.2. So I added dry acid to bring down to 7.5. Rechecked after an hour or so and was down to 7.5. Everyday it keeps drifting up a bit(not as fast now though). My ta is now down to 160. If I keep adding acid to bring it down, will the pH eventually stabalize when my ta comes down to 120 or so? Or should I look into other reasons why my pH keeps going up?
Thanks
