I'm here because I cannot fix or find someone else to fix my automatic pool filler. It is a concrete well about 9" diameter, 12" deep. The concrete has cracked and roots grow into it rendering the float inside useless. To make matters worse, I believe the pipe (brass to 1/2" pvc on pool side) is also cracked or broken. I find roots there, too.

For twenty years, I've struggled with this many because I cannot leave home in summer for extended periods. I live in AZ where evaporation is great. I have tried cleaning, caulking and concreting the well crack to no avail. I have no solution for the small pipe running to the pool. Perhaps a liner like what is in my skimmer basket would work but cannot find a pool repair company who wants a smaller job like this. Can a new one be drilled and run the water to a new well? Cost? Can a new pipe to the pool be added?

This seems to confound everyone I talk to.

I am about to make my own filler with a trough filler and a garden hose, but would much prefer to have this one fixed or replaced.
