Am I correct in assuming that there is no necessity for a Salt Test if you do not have a salt water generator?

Many thanks!

Correct, unless you wish to add salt to your pool to get some of the SWG water quality benefits without the SWG.

Correct, unless you wish to add salt to your pool to get some of the SWG water quality benefits without the SWG.How much, or how little, salt would I need to add in order to get some of the "SWG water quality benefits without the SWG"?

What kind of salt? And how should it be added? Would it affect the amount of bleach that I use?

My pool is a 12,500 gal. inground plaster pool, and I use the BBB method.

Many thanks!

Scarlett

This thread should answer most of your questions-

Thanks for the link. I have read through the posts but see no definitive word on what the salt might do to a heater--other than to ask the manufacturer. I can do that, but I'm betting my husband will say "no" anyway. :)

Thanks again,

Scarlett
