Hello all. First time caller here. This is my first pool (purchased my house this past may) and I have been learning as I go. There has been some frustration but no major issues to date. The pool is a vinyl lined in ground and holds 30000 or so.

This past week we had torrential rains for three days or so. Nearby areas had some flooding. During this period our pool became extremely muddy and gained lots of water. I assumed this was due to runoff (we live on a hill) but have now come to believe it is the hydrostatic valve. It is a week later now and the pool is almost completely drained. I have refilled it a couple of times but have since stopped. After research I have come to the conclusion that debris is likely lodged in my hv and is draining my pool.

Can I just clean the valve of debris when it is empty or will I need a new one? What should my next step be?

Any and all input is appreciated.
