Hello,
I am in the process of choosing a pool builder. The process is quite daunting because each pool builder has their own different way that they prefer to build the pool so I have a couple questions.
1. What is the significance of fiber mesh in the concrete? If one pool builder puts fiber mesh in the concrete and another does not, is this a reason to choose one pool builder over another?
2. I am considering installing an in-floor cleaning system because where I live all the pool builders install them and most new pools being built have them. In-floor systems seem to get bad reviews on the internet (this forum and other forums). Am I making a mistake by installing an in-floor system?
3. One pool builder bid a booster pump and the other 3 did not. I am having no water features in this pool. I am having an in-floor system installed. I am having difficulty determining why he would add a booster pump. When I asked him why he said "due to the size of your pool, your pool will get cleaned better with the booster pump." The surface area of the pool is approx 690.
4. Should the entire pool have a steel surcharge? Why do some pool builders put steel in the entire pool and other pool builders just put steel on the walls of the pool that boarder the house and the concrete block fence? Is this a reason to choose one pool builder over another?
