We just paid major money to put in fiberglass pool at our new home. The pool is crooked to the naked eye. At least 2 inches off and looks like more. Pool vendor wants final payment. What is our recourse?

Call a lawyer and the building inspector. Put a level on it as well.

What if they poured concrete even? Level isn't showing it. I think they compensated with concrete? Pool supervisor already told us inspector approves their work without inspection. Owner told me that one inch off is within standards. We are beyond that. What is fair to ask for? We have already paid more than 60k?

Julie,
I'm sorry but you're now beyond what I can help you with. You need a lawyer, a good one, I believe. Complain to the town that the inspector hasn't protected you--that's his job, not protecting the builder.
$60,000 for a fiberglass pool? It must be GIGANTIC.
Wish I could help more.

What happens if I bring the city into the discussion and they agree they "missed" the error. Do they make the vendor rip the pool back out and fix it.? Cement is in. Would have to tear it all up. If I negotiate with pool vendor alone, what should I ask for?
