jandy flopro pump making loud grinding noise

Yesterday my system turned on - and a couple hours later I heard a loud grinding noise. I went to look and somehow water was pouring out of several of my pipes near the unit (resolved this). The pool level had dropped tremendously - once I refilled the pool, the pump is still operating but making horrible noise. Cause?

Hi,
I'd guess either your pump section is trashed, or the motor's bearings are shot....but that's just a wild guess.

My guess as well, probably bearings - instead of pulling the motor apart I opted to order a new pump. Thanks Carl!!! I ordered a Jandy Stealth 2.0.2 - hopefully it does save 20% off electric bill!
