Just as I'm getting ready to winterize my pool, I got up this morning to water under the skimmer and upper outlet. Flooded under the deck, but can't find source of leak. Pulled steps out and dye tested as much as possible, still can't find it. Did notice that on the side opposite pump, which is uphill, is also very wet, so I'm thinking it might be there. Looking for any help in locating the leak in a very cold pool. I fashioned a tubing line ran it through the hole in the expandable stick and attached other end to a large syringe to deliver dye. Any suggestions, since there is a lot of ground to cover? Running water all night, as it has lowered under the lights and I'm concerned about collapsing. Thanks!

For the dye to work, the water must be very still. If it works correctly, the dye, after some time, 10 minutes to an hour, will collect at the leak. I was looking into one leak and found a 2nd that way.
I hope that's some help.

I think I fount it at the seam cross section. I need glue that will hold.

We usually advise using Boxer 100 glue when patching but I have no idea if that will work at a seam. I actually wonder if anything will work at a seam. Maybe someone else will chime in here who may know.

I've successfully patched leaks at seams with Boxer 100, including one on the bottom at the corner of the floor and wall. I always recommend double-patching, with the first patch at least an inch around the hole on every side and the second patch at least an inch beyond the first patch on every side. I like to use a rubber tile roller but other people have had success with other devices.

That patch did not stop the leak. Lost 4 inches of water overnight. Got in the cold pool and found large areas the seam is separating. Liner has 25 year warranty, so pool Co coming Tuesday to take care of.

I'm sorry it didn't work.
Are you sure you patched the leak? (the only leak?)
Are you sure it was completely sealed and 2 layers?
