I apologize-I am traveling and don't remember the exact model, but it's the Aqua Rite for 40 K gallons that has controls for lights, pumps, many aux, etc...
Here's the question: The 12 g wires coming from the pool light junction box-does it go the the "lights" connection first or to the breaker first? I'm thinking it goes to the light hook-up area first, both a hot and a neutral- the ground would go to grounding bar. Then the neutral would go to the neutral bar, and the hot would go to the breaker-correct? The same would go for the dual-speed pump.

I think your question got lost. It probably belongs in the Pool Electronics section where there may be an expert lurking. Just a thought.

I saw it too but didn't comment because I didn't have the answer. I looked in the aqua rite manual for a few of their controllers, and the section for lighting is a bit ambiguous. They have details and diagrams on how to connect every other component, but only a brief paragraph on lighting.

I think I would call hayward/aqua rite and see if they can answer if you don't have this solved already.
