Hi,

I just replace my pool pump motor, I got a marathon electric motor, it is wired for 220 and when I turn it on, it starts making a noise like a click that is on and off.

The diagram on the motor says that there is a voltage selector but I have not been able to find it

I can send a video if that will help.

Sending the video would be OK. Posting it on YouTube and linking to it would be better.

I'd have to check the manual to be sure about the voltage selector. What model motor is it? If you're not sure, link to a picture of the motor label (not the pump label).

It could be that the centrifugal switch is engaging and then disengaging for some reason so make sure that it has a full range of motion and the contacts are clear and there are no obstructions interfering with the switch.

I think you were sold a used/rebuilt motor. Your pictures do not look like a new motor. You probably only have a 30 warranty if that. Quick, take it back!

Good point!

Thanks.
