Is it possible to replace just the motor on my current single speed pump with a dual speed motor, or do I have to replace the whole pump?

If I can replace just the motor, does it have to be the same manufacturer, or do I just need to make sure it fits & has the same THP (hp x sf)?

Am I going to have something special done to my wiring? The pump is hooked up to a timer.

Here is the label from my current pump.

Make sure to match the horsepower and service factor. You will also need some way to switch from high to low. Two-speed motors used to come with a switch on them that would allow you to do this manually (a pain). A better option is to replace your single time clock with one that will do this automatically. The Intermatic P1353ME will do this, but you either need to be very familiar with electricity and motor installations or be prepared to hire an expert. When you are dealing with electricity and a pool, the "best" thing that could happen if you make a mistake is you burn a motor. You can imagine how bad it can get from there.
