I have a 24' AG pool and have just recently taken it down to move it. I have my new liner and will be putting it back up this weekend (hopefully)! I was wondering if I can move my pump and filter to the side of the house, out of site and pipe it up with PVC under ground to toe pool inlet and skimmer? It is about 26' of length and basically level. the only head loss would be from the ground up. My pump is a 1 1/2HP-2speed. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it is possible, I know a guy who has his around forty feet away for a thirty foot pool.

I wish I had mine more than the minimum 5' away from the pool as it tends to get a bit noisy with talking, spashing and the humming of the pump all so close. Another 10 feet would have made a significant difference and would be easier to put a sound barrier/cover around with the increased distance. I'm thinking of moving the pump/filter set up over the off season.

I can't hear mine at all and it's right beside the pool, it's never really made any noise other than when it's clearing air out of the system, and that noise is primarily at the return.
Yes, you can run PVC to a remote location, remember though, keep the elbows to a minimum and make sure you can still drain the PVC if there's frost in your region.

Wow! Thanks for the replys, all. I finally got my pool up this weakend and it is filling up (that's a lot of water), so next is the pump/filter and wiring it up! Again, Thanks for your help.
