I am in a rental house with a 5000 gallon pool or thereabout. It is about 4 feet deep except a section that was dug below ground on the "deep end". The pool started mostly empty except for this area. With no pump or way to siphon because it is below ground I filled the pool and started from there. I did a 1 pound shock and circulated with poor result. I added another 1lb shock the next day. I tested 0ppm chlorine. and 8.4 or above ph. I added a LOT of ph down to get it to 7.4. I've added a total of 5 - 1lb shock bags now. I have also added an entire gallon of 8.25% concentrated chlorine bleach. My chlorine is still reading 0ppm on both test strips and the drop tester. What gives here? The water in the bottom originally was very funky with algae, but is this continuing to cause this issue? According to calculators online im adding way too much chlorine. What can I do here? I'm becoming frustrated to say the least.

Pool test results:
Hardness (200)
Free Chlorine (0)
Total Alkalinity (180)
Cyanuric Acid (30-50)
