Why am I not using any Bleach?

I have a 16,000 fiberglass in ground. Last year it seemed like I was adding a gallon of bleach every few days. I have not used much at all this year. My level seems to just hang in there at 5.5 ppm.

I am concerned about the ALK, should I be? My ps-233 test kit has always shown a .5 on combined chlorine. I guess I'm second guessing yself alot. Could someone please help me understand better?

Have you shocked the pool to try and get rid of the CC? If not, I would suggest doing that. Also, read the sticky in the alk forum for how to lower alk.
