My 30,000 gallon, cement, 1950's pool in the woods is pumping almost no water the filter system right now. (That is my conclusion judging from how much stuff is floating top and how little water is pumping out into the pool and how cold the pool is even though the heater is on full blast.) It has a Hayward 240 sand filter and a moss filter, and we do BBB. But I was vacuuming a lot at the beginning of the season & I'm almost certain I've sucked up a ton of leaves and they're stuck because the second stage skimmer (back by the filter) is turning dark brown. Backwashing etc isn't helping.
Any ideas or straight to plumber-type person?

1. By 2nd stage skimmer, I assume you mean the pump strainer basket? Have you cleaned that?

2. Do you have a main drain?

3. What is a "moss filter"?

4. Are your pipes plastic or metal? If metal, iron or copper?

5. Is the debris just leaves, or is it leaves + sticks?

+ Turn off the heater till the pool is clean. Warm water grows algae MUCH better, and you don't want that.

+ If you have water flow in the skimmer, fill it up with chlorine tabs. Chlorine will gradually 'eat up' the leaves. Do NOT do this is there's no water flow.
