My Ph rose when raising ALK

I needed to bring up my alkalinity from 30ppm to about 110, but now my PH went from 7.2 to about 8.

Is this normal? Should I just lower my ph now?

I wouldn't just yet. Give it a day and see if it comes down some on its own.
