Where can i find a DIY guide on removal and installation for the heat exchanger?

I'm not sure that many people would consider that a DIY task; I know Hayward would not. You could check YouTube.
Hayward has manuals online that will help, but you better make sure your skills are up to the task. If you buy an exchanger, and then make mistakes, you'll still have a new expensive heat exchanger AND an old broken heater. => http://pool9.net/hayward/

oh, Ye of little faith. Job done in 45 minutes. Just remember where the screws go, there are a lot.
