Have a Tagelus TA 60 on my pool now , tank cracked over winter. Want to stay away from hayward top valves, is there a good top mount valve brand that doesnt leak?

I haven't seen any evidence that any of the other top-mount multiport valves are better than Haywards, but both Pentair and Jandy (Zodiac) make their own, even if it's pretty much a copy of Haywards.

Personally, I'd try to avoid top-mount filters as much as possible; they are a PAIN to work on, compared to side mount filters.

I did end up getting a Pentair Sandollar sd70.It had the same diameter of my Tagelus ta60, though slightly less sand. Best I could do on a Memorial day weekend.I'm having some issues trying to vacum. If I plug one skimmer, it looks like I can't get enough flow to keep the pump primed fully. Had to only partially plug one one skimmer.
