Hi I am new to this forum, but I have been reading some posts and I am convinced that the BBB method is the way to go. I am setting up a 24' x 52" pool with a cartridge filter. Is there a post on what I need to do to start a brand new setup? I saw several for opening a pool, but I don't know what I need to do different for starting new. Thanks in advance. I am sure I will be here often to learn as much as possible. I am a techie so I will want to constantly be checking things.

Is there a post somewhere on how to start a new above ground pool. I will do the bucket test first, but if don't know what to do while filling.

Take a look at the Super Simple recipe in my signature below. It is often used as a guide for some of the smaller pools but the advice in it could apply to your pool as well.

The SS Recipe will work with any pool that is freshly filled, and that does NOT have metals (iron, usually) in the fill water. http://pool9.net/ssr/
