Hi all, I have an inground pool with a DE filter. We took it apart this weekend to give it a good cleaning (which we do often and haven't had any issues)...and all went well as always. However when I recharged it, I managed somehow (and I don't know how) to get some DE in the pool. It is coating the bottom on the shallow end.
Now, we had this happen once before, but it was due to one of the grids having a tear and once we fixed that, it never happened again. The grids are 100% in tact, no tears. I am thinking when I recharged it thru the skimmer basket some got out. But that doesn't really make sense either.
What am I missing that may have caused this- I am 100% certain the grids are fine, I inspected them carefully when we cleaned them?
All I can think is I recharged it with too much DE, but we've always loaded it with 6 lbs for our size filter and we used same amount this time.
